INTERNET SPACE IN THE FORMATION OF SOCIAL YOUTH’S CAPITAL: SOCIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

Background. The article reveals the concept of social capital and the influence of the Internet space on the peculiarities of its formation in the modern youth environment. The author considers the specifics of social capital, analyzes the behavior of young people in the Internet space and assesses the virtual competitiveness and successful positioning of the young generation. The importance of social capital for realization of youth in professional, business and personal aspects is proved. The purpose of the work is to provide an assessment of the state of youth trust in the Internet space, to identify what types of relationships dominate in the youth environment in the formation of social capital.
Materials and methods. The implementation of tasks is carried out on the basis of the analysis and generalization of statistical data, scientific analysis of a wide range of sources, including scientific and periodical literature.
Results. The analysis revealed that the Internet space allows its participants to self-identify, adapt to the legal field of modern society, to realize the prospects of their professional growth and social significance, which will lead to the expansion of social capital in their area of influence.
Conclusions. Exploring the Internet space and young people, studying new forms of social life, it is possible to identify special forms of social mobility and tools for creating social capital, which will become a driver of traditional and innovative development of the country.
